Letter to the editor in response to “Pneumomediastinum andpneumopericardium, a rare complication of asthma: a case report”

The authors argue, referring to the definition of spontaneous pneumomediastinum (SP), that "Pneumomediastinum is a relatively rare condition in which there is free air in the mediastinum not due to surgery, a medical procedure, or trauma." However, I maintain that this definition should not be used currently because it is confusing and lacks specificity.
