Author Guidelines

To ensure proper submission of your manuscript and avoid unnecessary rejections, we recommend carefully reviewing and adhering to all submission guidelines for your document type. The guidelines detail requirements for formatting, length, structure, citation, and other editorial aspects (see Instructions for Authors).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must comply with the structure required in the journal’s guidelines, according to the article type (see Instructions for Authors). Likewise, authors must guarantee that:

  • The manuscript is original, unpublished, and has not been simultaneously submitted to another journal.

  • The file is in Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • The article adheres to the type and length permitted by the journal.

  • The text complies with the style and citation standards established by Desafíos.

  • The references are complete, standardized, and correctly formatted.

  • The full names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID codes of all authors have been included.

  • The author contribution statement has been declared according to the CRediT taxonomy.

  • The use of artificial intelligence tools (LLMs) has been disclosed, if applicable.

  • Tables and figures are properly numbered, with clear titles and sources.

Original article

Detailed report of an unpublished empirical, theoretical or methodological research. It must include introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusions. Its length ranges between 4,000 and 8,000 words, not counting references.Original article

Review article

Critical and systematic analysis of the scientific literature on a given topic, in order to identify trends, gaps and projections. Its length ranges between 5000 and 10000 words, excluding references.

Case study

The Case Study section publishes rigorous analyses of real-world experiences in business or institutional contexts. The suggested length is 2,000 to 3,500 words, including tables and references.

Letter to the Editor

Short communication aimed at commenting on articles previously published in the journal, raising critical observations or sharing academic reflections.
