Focus
Innovación Empresarial (RCIE) is an open-access scientific journal edited by the Universidad de Huánuco (Peru), in coordination with the academic programs of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and International Business, and Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy. Its purpose is to disseminate original and unpublished research in business sciences, management, accounting, and organizational studies, with a particular focus on the Latin American context. The journal provides a rigorous academic space that promotes scientific knowledge, innovation, and organizational development.
Scope
RCIE publishes works developed from theoretical, empirical, or applied approaches in fields such as administration, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, human talent management, business economics, accounting, tourism and hospitality, international business, innovation management, business technologies, and interdisciplinary studies related to organizational sciences. The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish and English and applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure quality, transparency, and editorial impartiality.
Target Audience
RCIE is aimed at researchers, university professors, undergraduate and graduate students, business science professionals, consultants, entrepreneurs, public and private managers, and academics interested in management, accounting, business, and organizational innovation. The journal seeks to strengthen the link between scientific research and its practical application in the Latin American business environment, fostering critical analysis and the exchange of professional experiences.
Periodicity
RCIE is a semiannual journal with continuous publication. It releases two issues per year: January–June and July–December. Accepted articles are progressively added to each issue as soon as the peer review and editorial processes are completed, ensuring timely dissemination of research findings.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
RCIE does not charge article processing, review, or publication fees. Submission, evaluation, and publication are entirely free for authors, reflecting the journal’s commitment to open access and to the democratization of scientific knowledge in business sciences.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to RCIE undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers. The process begins with an initial editorial screening to verify originality, thematic relevance, and compliance with journal guidelines. If approved, the manuscript is sent to two external experts in the field.
Reviewers are selected based on their academic experience, scientific output, and affiliation with reputable national and international institutions. They evaluate theoretical consistency, methodological rigor, relevance of results, and overall contribution to business research.
Possible decisions include: acceptance without changes, acceptance with revisions, or rejection. In case of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer will be consulted, whose decision will be final. When both reviewers request revisions, the corrected version will be re-evaluated by at least one of them. Two negative evaluations result in rejection.
The estimated time for a final decision does not exceed 45 calendar days from submission. Authors have 15 days to submit revisions, and up to 10 additional days if further adjustments are required. Accepted articles undergo scientific editing, style correction, metadata processing, and galley proofreading. The final version will be sent to the author for approval within 5 days. Official acceptance will be communicated exclusively via the institutional email editorial@udh.edu.pe.
Support
RCIE is supported by the Faculty of Business Sciences and the University Publishing Office of the Universidad de Huánuco, which provide technical, scientific, and editorial support to ensure the journal’s quality and continuity.
Funding
RCIE is funded by the Universidad de Huánuco through its Vice-Rectorate for Research, ensuring the sustainability of its open-access policy and its commitment to promoting scientific production in business sciences.
