Open Access Policy
The Revista Jurídica Peruana Desafíos en Derecho is an open access journal, providing free and unrestricted online access to its content. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts without prior permission, in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
Creative Commons License
Content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), allowing sharing and adaptation for any purpose, including commercial, provided appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is included, and changes are indicated without implying journal endorsement.
Copyright Policy
Authors retain copyright of their works, granting the journal only the right of first publication. Authors may reuse and disseminate their work, citing its original publication in this journal under CC BY terms.
Digital Preservation Policy
Multiple strategies are implemented to ensure permanent access:
- Local secure storage of manuscripts and final PDFs.
- Regular backups to external drives and institutional cloud services.
- Automatic OJS server backups by Universidad de Huánuco.
Self-Archiving Policy
Preprints may be self-archived. After publication, authors must replace them with the journal’s final PDF. There is no embargo period; authors can share the final PDF immediately.
Plagiarism Policy
Turnitin is used to detect similarities. Content must be at least 80% original. Minor citation errors will require correction; intentional or total plagiarism will result in rejection and notification of the author’s institution per COPE guidelines.
Authorship Policy
Number of authors: Preferably up to four, unless justified by collaborative projects.
Authorship criteria: Substantial contributions to conception, design, analysis, writing, or approval. Honorary or ghost authorship is prohibited.
Contribution declaration: Uses CRediT taxonomy. No changes to author order or number are accepted after submission.
Name changes: Managed confidentially upon formal request with legal documentation if necessary.
Correction, Retraction, and Ethical Conduct Policy
Correction requests should be emailed to editorial@udh.edu.pe. Accepted changes will be published as errata. Retractions are issued for methodological errors, data fabrication, or plagiarism, marking articles as “retracted” unless legally ordered for removal, following COPE guidance.
Funding and Conflict of Interest Policy
Authors must declare all funding and potential conflicts of interest. If none exist, state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest and received no external funding for this study.” Official declarations follow ICMJE guidelines (download here).
Research Data Deposit Policy
Data should be deposited in FAIR-compliant repositories. Manuscripts must include a Data Availability section with repository name, DOI, and license.
Human and Sensitive Data Research Policy
Studies involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki, include ethics committee approval, and informed consent details in Methods.
Policy on the Use of Large Language Models (LLMs)
Use of LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard) is permitted but must be disclosed in Methods with tool name, version, and purpose. LLMs are not recognized as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for content accuracy and ethics.
Advertising Policy
The journal is funded solely by Universidad de Huánuco and does not accept commercial advertising, ensuring academic and editorial independence.
