-Abstract
I owe the University of Huánuco an indelible debt of gratitude, which goes back twenty years. Thanks to the generosity of the rector—our rector; allow me to use the plural possessive pronoun—of the then dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Dr. Uladislao Zevallos Acosta, and of his successor, my beloved disciple and colleague, Dr. Fernando E. Corcino Barrueta. I am always pleased to remember that almost two decades ago I was named the first honorary doctor of its teaching staff, and some time ago I was also awarded the Dr. Miguel Polaino Navarrete Legal Research Institute, whose establishment and subsequent development honors and makes me proud.
