Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • For the submission of manuscripts, all articles must be original and unpublished and must not be simultaneously submitted to other journals or editorial bodies for publication, either in Spanish or in any other language, until a final decision is made (or an explanation has been provided in the Editor's Comments).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (*.doc, *.docx).
  • The text is single spaced; 12 point Arial font size; italics are used instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines, which appear in About the Journal.
  • Include title of the manuscript in Spanish and English (maximum 15 words).
  • The names of the authors, their institutional affiliations, highest academic degree(s), city and country. The names of the authors should be separated by a comma and a period should be placed at the end of the last author. The call to the institutional affiliation of the author(s) should be made in Arabic numerals and in superscript, coinciding with the order that should appear on the first page of the article. Each author should have the ORCID (https://orcid.org/register).
  • Citations and references in the text strictly conform to the current Vancouver guidelines, as reflected in the Instructions for Authors.
  • Whenever possible, URLs should be provided for references (links or hyperlinks should function properly and contain the information cited).
  • Attached to the application is a, sworn declaration.
