Técnica de preparación biológicamente orientada: una alternativa para rehabilitar dientes e implantes

Resumen

Objetivo. Se muestra toda la evidencia científca disponible sobre la técnica de preparación biológicamente orientada (BOPT), incluyendo los aspectos relevantes, desconocidos y controvertidos del tema. Métodos. Este estudio se enfoca en el análisis y los casos clínicos reportados con esta técnica en las diferentes áreas odontológicas, incluyendo las diferencias entre los protocolos digitales y convencionales que se utilizan para rehabilitar las estructuras dentales y su cementación. Resultados. Se han recopilado 47 artículos científcos en bases de datos digitales mediante la valoración de la calidad de los estudios y criterios de exclusión e inclusión establecidos. La BOPT tiene una relación periodontoprotésica estable, sin embargo, se necesitan más estudios aleatorios que sustenten esta preparación dental. Conclusiones. Las horas con el paciente se aumentan y es fundamental la experiencia del clínico, teniendo en cuenta que los métodos digitales agilitan el proceso pero aumentan el costo del trabajo.
